Took advantage of the warm temps for some outdoor painting today - got a bit of a late start...wasn't long before the fog and mist started rolling in but enjoyed a peaceful time and captured enough to to finish from memory.

Happy and honored to share news of the invitation to exhibit my recent fall collection at Blue Wave's Fine Art Gallery Fall Open House 'New Art', Fri. Sept. 30, 4:00-8:00pm - Sun Oct. 2, Amesbury, MA. Also exhibiting is Asia Scudder's collection of Mayan sculpture, 3-D printed art as well as sculpture works by Joel Gray. Along with live music by guitarist John Tavano (Fri, 5:00-7:00pm), wine and cheese from Wolf Meadow Farm...all makings for a fun evening to kick off the fall season. Thank you Asia.
August Inspiration
Inspired to revisit a flower painting I started a while back after picking up some fresh cut sunflowers the other day.
Couldn,t resist this repro vintage bicycle while yardsaling...just what I've been looking for to get around and paint along with combining some exercise. A real bargain and even equipped with a rack on the back for my gear - the basket, another yard sale catch, has been hanging in our barn waiting for just the right find.
A sunflower painting I started a while back...still needs work on the vase and background but I'm liking the looseness and spontaneity of the flowers...
